It shouldn't annoy me as much as it does - but he leaves the buttery knife on top of the butter on the kitchen bench every single day. It's like "here, babe, I only used it on my toast so I left it here for you encase you wanted to save on dishes." Can't think of any other reason one would do it? And everyday I chuck it in the sink and get a new one out anyway...

dude, a vegemite and butter smeared knife and crumbs in the cutting board every day when i get home from work. i know. i know.

That looks just like my kitchen benchtop (right next to the toaster). The worst thing is when they scrape the crumby leftover vegemitey butter back into the container. Yuck!

That is amazing - our husbands went to the same cookery school! He's really really good at doing this too until I explained the fact that I was the one who did the dishes, and I could handle having an extra knife to wash each day "So just put it in the sink!!!" hehee.

My husband does exactly the same thing and it irks me to no end....Must think of a comeback that will only annoy him!!! :)
