Amongst some recent sorting of personal belongings (due to some pretty epic changes in my personal life) I found this photograph that my friend Amiel Courtin-Wilson took for a school photography project. I'm guessing it would have been 1994 (which would have made me 16 or 17) and it was taken inside the Sun Theatre in Yarraville, which we broke into - like all bored and curious teenagers should - prior to it's restoration.

This framed fabric picture is actually puffy when you touch it. I can't wait to put it up in the playroom (if there is any wall left..) The kids have gone berserk over it - Leon keeps pointing at it. I think birdy will be his first word which will be weird as that was Mahlie's first word. I thought it was quite fitting with the weather being so rainy and all.

2 weeks since my last post...
That would be because
(A) Mahlie has had gastro and had to be taken to the Royal Childrens Emergency twice this week. She was sick for two days and I got freaked out when her lips, hands and feet started turning purplish. Took her in and we spent the night there whilst she had a drip through her nose for 6 hours. HORRIBLE! Then we took her home and it just kept happening! She couldn't keep even a sip of water down. We got worried again and took her back on Thursday and had to do the whole dreaded thing over again. By Friday night she was OK and now she is absolutely fine. Eating, drinking, sleeping, clinging, whining, giggling. It really is so sad to be in that hospital with all those sick kiddies. Poor chickens.
We still hadn't bought a birthday present for her and look what we found on ebay for $27!
(B) I have been working hard on the new baby clothing label and am hoping to have all stock ready for sale in 2-3 weeks. Besides the retail stores, I will be listing on Etsy and possibly having a stall at the Docklands Market on the 2nd of December. It's very exciting and I will share more very soon. Here is a sneek peek. That's all you get!
(C) Amongst A and B I have cleaned out alot of treasures from the corners of my home and put together a basket full of vintage goodies to sell on Etsy. This will happen as soon as I get a chance to photograph it all! There is some cool retro stuff - clothing and homewares etc. However, in typical Dana fashion I have managed to fit in a trip to Savers and bring into my spring cleaned home the following:

I LOVE receiving my regular Junior Society report! This one was especially spesh - a feature on Modern Nursery. These pics are just a FEW of my faves. I can't actually afford to buy anything from them but browsing is such a privilege. One can only dream...
